Scholarship Opportunities

Undergraduates

Apply for an ACI Undergraduate Scholarship (MS Word format)

FINANCIAL AWARDS: One $1500.00 award is available through the Nebraska
Chapter of ACI for undergraduate study in concrete construction the 2010-2011 academic year.

REQUIREMENTS:

This award is open to any undergraduate student in the State of Nebraska. The student shall be participating in an undergraduate program in engineering, construction, or technology during the year for which the award is presented. The award will be made on the basis of demonstrated interest and ability to work in the field of concrete construction or design.

  • The student must have a course load of 6 or more credit hours each semester during the period for which the award is made.
  • The student must be a registered student during the year for which the award is made (not necessarily at the time of application).
  • Transcripts, recommendations, and an essay must be submitted as outlined on the application form.
  • Completed applications must be received no later than mid December, 2010

Graduates

Apply for an ACI Graduate Scholarship (MS Word format)

FINANCIAL AWARDS: One $1500.00 award is available through the Nebraska Chapter of ACI for graduate study in concrete construction for the 2010-2011 academic year.

REQUIREMENTS:

This award is open to any student in the State of Nebraska completing studies toward the bachelor degree or one who has received a bachelor degree from a higher education institute which is accredited by the responsible regional or national agency. The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • Must have possession of a bachelor degree from an accredited program by the summer of 2010
  • At the time of acceptance of the award (but not necessarily at the time of application) the applicant.
  • Must have been accepted for graduate study. This graduate study must be in an engineering, architectural, or materials science program at an accredited college or university in the State of Nebraska which offers a graduate program in concrete design, materials, or construction.
  • Must be a graduate student during the entire award year.
